Expert bio:

Mr. Muhammad Azrul Abdul Hamid is a partner of Wong Jin Nee & Teo, an Intellectual Property & Technology legal practice. Azrul obtained his law degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury in England. He then continued his studies and obtained an MA in Legal and Political Theory from the University College, London. Azrul has been practising exclusively in the field of Intellectual Property for the last 15 years. Azrul has advised many multinational clients on various aspects of brand protection; especially in enforcement, public policy & engagement as well as litigious matters which includes, patent, trade mark and copyright infringement. Throughout the years Azrul has worked closely and continues to work with the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism in a joint effort to eradicate piracy and counterfeiting in Malaysia. This includes providing brand protection seminars and legislative updates.
