Join us for the Trade & Investment Forum 2016, the EUMCCI’s annual flagship dialogue with the Malaysian government on key issues facing the business community. Following a turbulent year surrounding currency fluctuations, oil prices, GST, and several FTA developments in ASEAN, we invite companies to join EUMCCI in presenting a strong EU voice to the Malaysian government on improving the business environment.

Besides discussing the past events, the EU-Malaysia Trade & Investments Forum seeks to develop, promote and enhance trade and investment relations between EU and Malaysia by providing strategic frameworks and principles through the sectoral committees.

During this Forum, the EUMCCI Trade Issues and Recommendations 2016 book will also be launched, which is a valuable source of trade and investment information covering all key sectors where EUMCCI has established 10 Committees.

The theme of this year’s Forum is EU-Malaysia Outlook 2020: Trade & Investment Opportunities & Challenges. This theme will comprise of a highlight session by Yg Bhg Tan Sri Dr Rebecca Sta Maria, Secretary General, Ministry of International Trade & Industry, a panel session led by representatives from EPU and top corporate leaders in Malaysia on the topic: In the light of TPP being finalised, will negotiations on EU-Malaysia FTA be renewed? Will this FTA maintain its competitive edge against the TPP?

The EU-Malaysia Trade Forum is a prominent forum attended by European and Malaysian government officials, leaders, C-level executives and the business community to promote business-to-business dialogues and thought leadership to enhance trade and investment relations between Europe and Malaysia.
